END OF IPO - DAY 5
Sigh, one week passed by so quickly...
Our class and fellow classmates won many mentions :D I feel so happy for us all! As a class, we won the best cheer and 2nd overall. Kaizhi won the most enthusiastic guy award and Kevin & Coolshansterr won the best friendship dance! Amazing! :D To think that a week ago, we didn't know one another and felt apprehensive just by striking up a conversation. Now, we've forged bonds that would probably last a lifetime. Not to forget our class spirit which would be with us throughout our years in VIP! :)
Oh and after that was the Senior-junior interaction :) We went to Pastamania at PP and ate with our direct seniors. :) The seniors were really funny and interesting! They shared some information about our other direct seniors and it was hilarious. We went to Ice Cream Chefs after consuming our dinner. There we played double and dare and I was one of the lucky few who didn't get chosen! I really liked seeing how my classmates and seniors got picked to do the dares which I felt were kind of embarrassing to do but fun to look at :D I feel so mean now just thinking about how I was laughing at them xD
I think our PSLs did an awesome job planning the IPO. Without them we would have spent our first week of school being terribly awkward with one another. And not to mention feeling the love and enthusiasm of VIPers.
Soooooo it's 11.47pm now and I have to sleep. And do Mr Goh's reflection before sleeping!
Good luck to all for Invigorate! :D

FINALE !!!
*sobs sobs....* IPO has ended. I don't want it to end! The PSLs were really a wonderful group of seniors that helped to bridge me closer to the class and bond with everyone :P
The senior junior interaction with our direct seniors was very interesting. Our direct seniors were very welcoming and I realised we had many things in common [with Lea]. After dinner we went to ice cream chefs where we played truth or dare.[actually it was just double dare] and poor yufang did the double dare twice! It made me realise that the seniors are potential PSLs! They came up with many ridiculous double dare that we didn't do during the whole week! [they had plenty of original ideas unlike someone that made everyone scold of comfort and inanimate object, hahahaha] some of them includes doing some caterpillar wriggle, bollywood dancing and choo choo trains [hahaha those were really hilarious]. Yeah that's about it for SJI.
Before SJI was the fight between Heroes {YAY!!!} and Villains {BOOO !!!} and that really made my day! the heroes put up a nice [and hilarious :P] fight against the villains and the most epik thing happened.... darthvader's helmet fell off! But all in all it was the hero's victory. Three cheers and three cheers and three cheers for PSL! Hiphip HURRAY! Hiphip HURRAY! Hiphip HURRAY!
THANK YOU ありがとう 謝謝 감사합니다 grazie

Kevin's Wonderful Reflections- Day 5 last day :(
Oh how time flies past while having fun. The IPO was surely unique and fun, I am sure everyone enjoyed it while it lasted. I brought back many lessons and memories I do not want to forget! I still cannot believe how i won the best friendship dance, acknowledging that I am really, really bad at dancing. I enjoyed the class cheer and I think our class owes a lot to Enyi for creating such a good cheer. Sure everyone put in effort and I want to thank them for it. We won the best class cheer and I felt that the class deserved it for all the hard work put in. How I wish the IPO could repeat itself and let the fun continue. I want to thank the PSLs and class for their enthusiasm and help they gave me.

IPO Day 5
After 5 fun filled days of IPO, I feel quite sad that it is over.
On Day 5, we started with mass dancing, followed by station games. After lunch, we had some games and a sharing session. For the sharing session, our awesome class PSLs bought us snacks which were better than the prizes for the competitions! After these activities, we had prize giving and the cheer competition. Our class won the best cheer and 2nd for IPO and Kai Zhi won the the award for most enthusiastic male, Kevin and Shannon were sent by our class to do the friendship dance and unexpectedly they actually won!
At the end of the day, we went to Parkway to eat with our seniors.
Overall, I would really like to thank the PSLs for putting in so much effort into planning out such a great and awesome IPO for us :)

13012012 : IPO DAY 5 REFLECTION
Sorry for the one day late entry:(
Anyway its like 24 hours since the end of IPO:( I am gonna miss IPO BUT there are still the wonderful memories to hold on to and a great year ahead. I have really learnt alot from this whole experience and i am sad that we dont get to do this to our juniors. NOW THATS A BIG JOKE. Hahahahah. I really learnt that teamwork is super duper important i know i like said this like a million times but it is because we are a class and we should all be united as one <3 AND I AM SUPER PROUD TO GET 2ND BECAUSE WE DESERVE IT WOHOO i liked the last game where we got to thank the rest the best because that was really sweet and we got to appreciate one another more. I hope that our class can further improve on the gender gap although there has been improvement! hahahah i think the first 3 days it was like guys on the tables girls on the floor and by day 4 we were all sitting together already! Ahhhhh the memories..... And i think our class has really GOOD CHEMISTRY <3 SO MANY SCANDALS woah hahahah no lah and plus we always help one another and we stick up for one another so it is very heartwarming:) Like for example during AUNTIE REUBEN'S SUNBOCK CRISIS we all helped him with his phone and white keys and especially frances. I like that our class takes alot of initiative in everything we do and our enthusiasm. My throat is painful but i am happy. Overall i really enjoyed everything and its kinda sad we dont have juniors...
TO THE PSLS: thank you for everything you have done for us and all the time effort lack of sleep.... and everything you sacrificed for us. NO WORDS CAN EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE hahahaha
TO THE CLASS: you are AMAZING JUST THE WAY YOU ARE so dont ever change and that includes you reuben! Auntie FTW
NOW YOU SEE ME TMR YOU DONT

Reflection of the FINALE/Day 5
It has been about eleven hours since IPO ended but the time I had during IPO is truly unforgettable...On the final day, time seemed to pass so much faster... It was meant to be a slacking but fun day...There were only 4 station games and the rest is games and videos and an award ceremony in the Ehub. We breezed through the station games with ease and had lunch after that.
Then we gathered at the Ehub in classes and played class-bonding games and had a heart-to-heart sharing session with the PSLs when we started with a rafia string and toss it to the person we would like to thank after saying what we enjoyed and learnt from the whole of IPO. And after that, we formed a pattern that was unique to our class and it was (maybe) impossible to replicate. Another game we played was "Guess who?" when we had to guess the owner of a particular item in a picture. We didn't win but it was the last day so I don't care (I think)
Then, there were a few videos of the villains getting defeated and the superheroes coming on stage to defeat the villains in front of us and there were a few jokes here and there... then DARTH VADER appeared with a very embarrassing ending....His head came of and he had to pick it up but got still got defeated in the end...
Soon after, there was an award ceremony when our class won 2ND in the whole of IPO and KAI ZHI won THE MOST ENTHU GUY AWARD and KEVIN AND SHANNON WON BEST FRIENDSHIP DANCE! Three cheers and three cheers and three cheers for 12! Hip hip, HOORAY! Hip hip, HOORAY! Hip hip, HOORAY!
Last but not least, it was time for Senior-Junior-Interaction (SJI). We had a GREAT time with our direct seniors at pastamania (or based on Steve, it is pastaMANDALIA, LOL Jasmine, I AM WEIRD. LIKE YOU!) Then we moved to Ice Cream Chefs and had some refreshing ice-cream. Yummy... Then, it all ended in a flash when it is obviously very late and everybody had to go home athough 3 seniors still went to eat roti-prata in Bedok....
From that minute on....I realised that IPO has sinced officially ended :(
BUT WE STILL HAVE INV!GORATE :D
So that is the end of my series of reflections..I shall look forward for more enjoyment and fun in the days ahead. :)

THIS IS LIKE. THE LAST TIME I'll BE WRITING REFLECTIONS FOR IPO :( AND TO BE FRANK, IT'S QUITE SADDENING TO KNOW THAT OUR LOVELY EXPLORATION JOURNEY HAS ENDED... SO QUICKLY.
We all only get to experience IPO once in our lives, some don't even get the chance to live it, and our dear PSLs have all put in so much effort into ours with hopes that it'll be as memorable it is for us as it had been for them. Well, I don't know if theirs was as fun, or as surprising as ours, but I can proudly say: Thank you, PSLs. We've had the time of our lives in this past week which you have all so painstakingly planned for us. We might not have lived up to your expectations in one way or another, but we're all learning. Someone famous once said, "Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself.". We've had our fun and now the journey's just begun.
Over the past week, we've truly bonded as a class. And I sure look forward to bonding with the rest of the cohort next week! :) Sure, we might have had a few small fights here and there, but isn't this all what IP's about? ;) It's precisely the small fights here and there that add Zest to our lives in the VIP :D
As the seniors have said, "The fun never ends in the VIP!"
12v12. I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. You guys are the best <3 I LOVE YOU GUYS AND THE PSLs :D YAY!
Love
Frances
P.s. Scandals are bad :( Should destroy all of them okay :( #justsaying

Last IPO Reflection!
Damn, it's the last reflection for ipo already D: so sad man! Yesterday was kinda a summary of all the days we spent in ipo! There wasn't much action going on, but we understood more about each other in class! (;
I also had fun at the sji! while the other tables were being awkward turtles, mine was like chatting nonstop! (: we had like so much in common, we didn't even stop talking! Bad for me, cause I couldn't really eat my food ;) HAHA, i spent such a long time eating my food :D
Really missing ipo and all the fun cheers/mass dances/suck ups we had to do!
Oh well, at least there's still invigorate to look forward too! Thanks to all the PSL's who took special care for us and you guys rest well during the weekends <3
Love,
Germaine Hilary!

IPO2012: FINALE
HEY AWESOME PEOPLE.
Sorry for the late post. I just collapsed after bathing yesterday. :) hahahha. so yes.
Yesterday was an awesome ending to the great start. :) We started off with mass dancing. yes, and sadly i still can't remember ALL the moves. HAHAH :) then we had station games. which was great! :) and really brief. so we had plenty of recess time. :D WHOOPIE! hahah. Soon after, we played circle of trust and human entanglement. the circle of trust was really not as simple as it looked, because some people didn't dare sit on the person behind them, and some others could not hold the weight of the people infront of them. HAHA :) but I was very comfortably sitted. ;) and then the human entanglement. Yet again we were the last class. and the whole cohort and PSLs, were like: let's go 12 let's go. and i was just buried in the human forest with sweaty palms.... (that sounds so cheem. HAHAHAH) YUP, then we had a time of sharing where everyone thanked the people they wanted to, and shared what they took away from this unique experience. That was pretty cool. the raffia string pattern. :) Our PSLs also bought snacks for us which were even BETTER than the prizes. HAHAH :) ILY PSLs of v12, 2012~ :) Yes. than it was the cheer competition and prize giving. Our class actually, kinda, won 3 awards. which is pretty damn good. :D
1. BEST CHEEEEEER WHOOOOHOOOOO (thanks to kaizhi and enyi! :))
2. KAIZHI MOST ENTHU MALE! ( Y)
3. 1st runnerup! :))))))
YES. than we said the VJ cheers loudly for the last time in an IPO ever, since we are the last badge, and this is the last IPO... :( and we went out to eat dinner with our direct seniors. We ate at pastamania and bonded quite a bit. Our seniors are really hilarious when playing truth or dare. Later on when we went to Ice Cream Chef, it truth or dare became dare or dare. HAHAHA :) I wished i could've stayed longer at Ice Cream Chef though. maybe next time! :)
ALL IN ALL. IPO was a TERRIFIC experience. and what's more, we should be honoured since we are the last badge of IP1s being able to experience IPO! whee. but it still saddens me that we won't have juniors :( HAHA

IPO Day 5
Hi peeps!
Well... IPO is over :( so sad right. But it marks the start of our VIP journey. Day 5 was really fun because we had the last station games and mass dance challenge and the awards ceremony! Good job to 12v12 for winning 2nd place! Well done. And to Kevin and Shannon for winning best friendship dance and thanks Kai Zhi and En Yi for coming up with he best cheer for 12v12! It was simple and yet catchy so good job. I really really really miss IPO especially the fun we've had together as a class. Definitely, all the credit goes to the PSLs : Jyh Hean, Dhiraj, Eri, Jeslyn and Peixuan! You guys rock!!! The whole IPO was a blast and it was the best 5 days I have had! Thanks for showering care and concern for our well-being and thanks for taking good care of us. We love you PSLs!!! Of course, thanks Kai Zhi for winning the most Enthu Boy!!! You have done 12v12 proud.
The SJI was awesome! I have learnt that our seniors are really sick and they go around doing sick stuff... But they are also very nice people! Truth or Dare really sucks seriously... Don't ever play that again!!! Enjoyed the fun we had eating ice-cream @ Ice-Cream Chefs :D those who didn't join, it's okay as there will always be a next time! Cannot wait for Wednesdays dinner with the PSLs and Monday an Tuesday's Invigorate! Take care everyone!
-Justin
IPO- A sad ending to an awesome start!
~Kai Zhi, 12v12
As usual, I shall not talk about my early morning :D
Hmm the mass dance revision was awesome.....at first.... cos well I only remember tribal and whiney dance. The rest? I forgot :P But well whatever at least tried to do it, though I probably looked epicly retarded.
Although our class took longer and needed help for human entanglement, nobody complained or whined and we kept trying to figure out to solve it. 12v12 FTW.
Apparently I was most enthusiastic guy, which made me quite chocked as I seriously didnt feel I was enthusiastic haha. AND BEST CHEER!!!! WOHOO! 12 Rox man! Overall second is awesome! Its the bettr half, be proud!
Lastly, thanks all seniors! IPO was only a success cos you guys stayed up so late to plan the programmes for the next day! You guys are probably 3 quarters dead alr (trust me I know) =.=. Seniors, though you guys are really committed to letting the juniors, please take care of yourselves! You guys sleep early when you askus to sleep early too! All of you should be proud of yourselves, cos I think almost everyone (including me) enjoyed IPO! Love you guys!
Proud to be an IP1, proud to be a VIP-er, and proud to be juniors of such awesome PSLs!

Last day of IPO by Jung sol
now i'm writing today's reflection which is last day of ipo.
i would like to thank our PSLs who have made this IPO the best orientation the seniors can ever give to the juniors. it was fun/enriching at the same time! i know they have stayed up many nights and sacrificed a lot for this week and i believe that it has not been wasted.
i got to know so much more about the school i would be spending 4years in and the friends in my class. i am quite shy so i am not very close to the seniors and i'm still trying to adjust to this new environment. i will try to speak up more in the future!
today dinner was nice! especially at the ice cream shop where we played truth or dare. it was really sad that we couldnt stay with the PSLs but i'm sure there will be another opportunity!
i'm looking forward to the 2012 in 12v12 with new friends!

4th day of IPO by Jung sol
4th day was the best day of IPO!!! It was wet game day and it was so much better and fun than i've expected! there were really many varieties of wet games ranging from shampoo and powder. they were really creative and fun!
of course the highlight would have been the PSLs tricking us. i am ashamed to say i believed them COMPLETELY. not 0.01% of doubt. i was really reflecting sincerely when the first water bomb was thrown. i'm such a naive girl -.-
i totally enjoyed the day and it;s so sad that we will never experience it again. but looking at the bright side, we were the last badge to enjoy it HAHA! It was the best wet games day ever!

3rd day of IPO by jung sol
sorry, i forgot to write 3rd, 4th and 5th day of ipo reflections so i have to rush now :(
on 3rd day we had an amazing 'amazing race'! i think it was one of the best activites for IPO. we had to go to places outside the vjc which included east coast park, parkway parade and I12. our task was to find out our next destination after completing the games and getting the clues.
my force had a bad start cos we were not able to transfer the plastic cup from using the rubber bands. (in fact, we were the last to start hoho) however, i'm proud to say that we got 3rd at the later part!!!
the main thing i've learnt from this amazing race is that i have to stay out of my comfort zone. the station that i still remember is the part where we had to stand outside the parkway parade and sing 'baby' or dance friendship dance. that's something you can never do in your comfort zone. so, i think that was the lesson that really came to my heart HAHA.
I also learnt the importance of preparedness from our PSLs when we had to change our game plan due to the raining. although it was almost unexpected, they kept calm and were able to quickly led us to the next situation in an orderly manner.
it amazed me and taught me how crucial it is to be prepared.
the day was really tiring since we had so much running compare to the other days but it was really fun!

IPO Reflections - Day 5
NOOOO!!!! IPO has come to an end :( But today was extremely fun :D Although we didn't win IPO, we still won for "best cheer" and some of our classmates brought back awards that, I would say, they really deserve. I also enjoyed the SJI alot, as it gave us a chance to bond with our crazy seniors, ending IPO with a bang :) Once again, I feel the PSLs did a very good job organising today and IPO in general, making it totally enjoyable and as fun as possible while teaching us important lessons and values along the way. Such a sad thing that we wont have juniors :'(
To me, IPO has definitely served its purpose of familiarising us with the VIP culture and I am really grateful for having the chance to experience it. I'll be looking forward to the months to come that I spend with my awesome class ^^

Day 5 IPO Reflection
My my it felt like it was only yesterday wasn't it? One moment we felt that it was the first day of school, the next IPO has ended and a week has past, just like that, without a trace. It is ironic, in a way, since all traces of blog entries over the last few hours has vanished too. Nevertheless, this my reflection for day 5 IPO and I hope this can in one way or another inspire you people to start writing. In all honesty though, I am extremely exhausted, even though today was nothing compared to the previous days. Thus, I shall make this as short, sweet and simple as possible.
Today's IPO is rather simple; not much special activities are planned other than the four station games and the prize presentations. It is understandable though, since everyone must be so tired by now. Thus, there is not anything much to reflect about in regards to today's events (this probably explains the silence transpiring on Facebook and on this blog).
There is much to reflect about though, on the entire IPO as a whole. As mentioned in my first entry, the diversity is immense, many have varying personality, rendering the class an extremely unique one. As the days passed though, more characteristics are revealed. For example, who could have thought that Justin had such a talent for music, specifically on the piano, or how Reuben had such feminism (or what the class refer to as 'auntiness') under his nerdy features. This singleness of our class should therefore not be taken advantage of. (Remember, we are just going to be a class for two years, and considering how a week seemed like a flash, a year would be extremely quick too). Let cherish this time together, my fellow classmates!
On a more jocular side however, is how Kevin and Shannon managed to pull off a win from the best 'friendship dance' award. In truth, I am still perplexed at why the class decided to send the pair to this category of competition, contemplating how poorly Kevin eminently done during the mass dances. Guess we ought not to conclude too quickly!
In hindsight, the senior and junior interaction was very beneficial too, where both parties are able to let their heart speak genuinely for once in this IPO program. It can also be said to be a form of feedback, where we are able to suggest ideas on how the class can be improved as a whole. Overall, today was a slightly different one from the rest of the days, not so exhausting but definitely one of the most thought-provoking session.
Hope you guys can use my entry as an inspiration to your own entry! And don't be sad people, IPO may have ended, but not our class spirit!
~Love,
Shawn

My IPO Day4!
Yesterday was just pure awesomeness! We got tricked and we did many dumb stuff to suck up to catwoman but everything was FUN!!! PSL's were really scary but the water bomb fight was EPIK!
Oh and I learnt how to coax and imaginary cat from under a car! We were so awesome, another guy came to check under our car to see what was under it!
Okayy, there was still the mass dance, which I totally suck at it! I wish it was a twinny dance so Shannon could be my 2 right feet! (; and we'll have like 2 pairs of perfect feet! Feeling so tired and rocky on the bus, shall stop here and look forward to what happens in less than an hour!
Love, Hilary!

IPO Day 4
Today certainly exceeded my expectations, it was really awesome!
The wet games were creative and engaging, as we did things I never thought of games involving applying shampoo to the hair and being covered in baby powder. Later, at 5pm the PSLs gave us their 'traditional' scolding and then they caught us by surprise by throwing water bombs at us. From then on it turned into a water bomb war which was extremely fun.
It is quite touching to know that the PSLs put in a lot of effort in order to make the day such a success and I really appreciate it. Although it is quite sad that IPO will end tomorrow, I know that it definitely will be fantastic!

IPO day 4: Fun. Surprise and Gratitude
~Kai Zhi, 12v12
Phase 1: Fun
A simple word to sum up the wet games. Though we didnt get to play mass wet games part 3, WE GOT WET AS..... WATER! LOL! mass games part 1 was just a frenzy of random throwing of water bombs, full of trolling and tricking :D
Part 2 was crazy. I mean seriously, people DRINK THE WATER? Looking inside, you can see synthetic black..... stuff.... and you still drink it. And thats like, the nicest part. The mixture also includes saliva from so many people and shoes/hair/shirts which your other teammates dunked in. And they didnt even bother to gargle afterwards lol. Although we didnt win, we had a fun time trying to get water across, and in the process getting ourselves wet as well.
TRIBAL DANCE IN CANTEEN LOL :D
Station games were FUN HELL :D
I HAVE NO DIGNITY NOW! Why? Cos, I jumped screaming 'Its so magical!' when the fountain was turned on and ran about pretending to be a train. (Rou Ying). I pretended Andris was on a tree, rolled arnd the carpark, and pretended to be cars. And we got all got fully wet! P.S. I LOVE THE FEELING OF THROWING A WATER BOMB AND HITTING! (Though i suck at it....)
Phase 2: Surprise
Refer to wei jie of 12v14's facebook post. Haha as I have already explained, I was half persuaded and so I was still half surprised! The whole process can be summed up in 1 word: Mindblown!!!!
Phase 3: Gratitude
This is not a suck-up, but an expression of heartfelt gratitude! Thanks to all seniors/psls again. You guys stayed up till 12 to tie those bombs! Really appreciated! Seriously, next to my parents, nicest thing ANYONE has EVER done to me. Be proud you guys! And its funny when you guys asks us to sleep early cos, well, you guys need to too! I can tell people like Hudson were actually almost fully drained (bloodshot eyes), and were self energizing themselves to energize us! And only you thing you guys ever ask is: Did you enjoy it? I was really touched, and though I cant do the same for you guys, the least I can do is show some appreciation, and spread your 'legacy' to 12v12, and to the cohort!
Proud to be an IP1, proud to be a VIP-er, and proud to be juniors of such awesome PSLs!
YebinLemuelYuriApolloniaDatBostonEriSeanDhirajJyhHeanPeixuanJeslynAnjaliCalvinJoleneRouyingZacharyAndrisCVincentWeiliangAngieIsabelHarry. Thanks for making IPO a success!
P.S good acting guys XD
IPO DAY 4
Hi guys!
Today was just... mind-blowing. :)
The wet games were really fun and we played against and with our direct seniors! We had station games too and they were really interesting. Sometimes I wonder how our PSLs are able to come up with such creative games! Anyway, after the games was a scolding by our PSLs.
I'VE GOT TO ADMIT THAT THE PRANK WAS REALLY GOOD! So good that I'm feeling sad that we would not able to experience the same thrill and excitement as we would not have any juniors :( But it's okay cos we had a blast during the last ever prank to be executed in IPO! 8D
It is really hard to believe that tomorrow is the last day of IPO. Like what you guys have said, we should totally take this opportunity to show out PSLs our gratitude and love for planning such a wonderful IPO :D

Reflections for 4th day of IPO
Today was definitely better than what I thought it would turn out to become. It was the wet station games day!! The obvious thing was that everyone got really wet, like soaked and drenched. I was constantly wet as once my shirt and pants starts to dry, another PSL comes running along with a pail of water to pour on us. The first activity of the day was already very exciting, with the juniors playing with the seniors. Then came the rain. This time the rain didn't come to much help, and we didn't even get to play the most exciting game with the seniors, which was also the last game. Anyway, we continued on to wet station games and it was basically the same as dry station games only with splashing and pouring of water included: blindfold, work-together-as-a-team kind of games and etc. Oh, the suck-ups today were quite ridiculously embarrassing as we had to do some in front of teachers, but we were already used to the awkwardness. And one last thing, the surprise water bomb attack by the PSLs. That was one good trick!! I thought we were seriously getting scolded because we "misbehaved", but while I was reflecting, I could think of nothing as we were very well-behaved, or that's what I thought. I initially thought that the PSLs were really angry due to our "inappropriate attitude, behaviour and lack of respect". Nevertheless, the surprise attack was really fun and it was regrettable that we don't have any juniors to play the prank on next year. At one point of time, I thought we were in deep trouble, how troubling and how silly we were to have fallen into the PSLs' trap, still it required some good actors to make it look real. Today's lesson was on zest, which is pretty much everyday's lesson. I hope we continue to have fun on the last day of IPO!!

IPO Reflection -- Day Four <3
I'M SO TIRED I FELL ASLEEP AT 8.20 :(
I'M SO TIRED I FELL ASLEEP AT 8.20 :(
TODAY HAS BEEN. THE. MOST.AWESOME. AND. SURPRISING DAY YET. !!!! :D Though the surprise Mass Water Bomb event at the end of the day TOTALLY COMPLETELY DRENCHED EVERYONE, and despite the fact that most of us took the bus/MRT back home looking like utter misfits cuz of our wet clothes (since some felt the changing of clothes wasn't that necessary) , it was worthwhile nonetheless ;)
Initially, I really really thought the seniors meant what they said...but slowly i did notice that a few couldn't help but giggle a little...though I never thought they would pull off such a prank like this >< Some seniors DID get a little too engrossed in their 'roles' and REALLY TRAUMATIZED me... :( but it was super funnnnn to hit random seniors with water bombs and shiver in the cold wind together with my fellow classmates <3
In all, despite the shock, I really enjoyed myself and the games really put all our forces' teamwork to the test. It certainly was a memorable afternoon I'm sure I won't forget soon. Today, we did lots of....(I would say) QUIRKY and INTERESTING suck-ups to the seniors, who have slowly gotten the hang of coming up with random, super embarrassing and really hilarious things for us to do XD
OH ITS LATE. AND I WANNA SLEEP. (Yes, if Reuben were here, he'd say: GO SLEEP LAH! XD HAHAHA OMG HE DAMN FAIL ) NIGHTS EVERYONE.
TOMORROW WILL BE A BETTER DAY:) GOODNIGHT PEEPS!

Reflection for IPO Day 4
Okay, we were like so screwed just now...."Oh no you didn't!" said Zachary accompanied with failure in moving head sideways LOL....For today, simply said, our school became a WATER THEME PARK! WOO!!!
For some reason, I can't think of anything to write...How ah? The only thing I remembered doing was getting wet, wet and.......WET!! In addtion, it became like a winter wonderland too! Powder was floating and squirted all around us! POWDER OMG! IT LOOKED LIKE SNOW BUT ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN....IT IS DANDRUFF!!! And I looked a 15-year-old old man...those two parts just DO NOT go well together... But before that, we were BATHING IN A BASKETBALL COURT! First time ever! It was quite refreshing actually but if this was after the powder game it would be great...but it's okay..it was still filled with enjoyment. Then we had defrost, not a piece of meat, BUT A PIECE STINKY SOCKS! And someone had wear it and catwalk before posing...It was all for the JOY (Yuh, so called) of it...
SO SENIORS!! YOU THINK I GOT ZEST?? NO?? Prish lah....have lor... I participated in everything as actively as possible..and in mass dance, ALTHOUGH I WAS MAKING JESLYN GO NUTS, "REUBEN AAAAAAHHH!!!" OMG she makes it look so "SIMPLE" Prish lor...not easy okay....
Okay, that's about it for today...I am so excited for tomorrow but it is the last day :( Time pass so fast...Oh well, life goes on....See ya all seniors tomorrow!
-Reuben
P.S. Lishan, Spring have arrived so no more snow....LOL

Heyy guys (and gals)
Today was like super duper duper FUNNN!!! Really got a bad shock when the PSLs tricked us! :D Srsly, their scolding and acting were like soooo convincing. >:) Then I heard Andris give a yell and before I knew it, the sky was raining water bombs (yeah, on US). XP
Today's lesson was on zest, and I really appreciate the fact that the PSLs included this, cos' we often 4get this 'value' in our academic journey, slowly losing interest in all stuff and doing our best for it. So I learned that we should be more enthusiastic, putting all our heart in everything we do. *shiny smile*
2morrow's the last day. SIGH~~~~ :/ I do really hope that we win the competition as a form of reward for the hard work that all fellow classmates put in. (GO 12V12!)

IPO Day #04
ZEST
Today was....... AWESOME BEYOND WORDS :)I shall end like that. Do you think this is a joke? Do you? Answer as a class! :)
Yeap this is a joke, I will continue to write [though i am half dead now]
Today was WET GAMES [YEAH :) put your hands up yeah :P] we played with our direct seniors [though most didn't come D:] especially the second part where we had to transport the water, people were as desperate as to carry water using their mouths [not forgetting the water was very, very, very dirty, seriously, this is not a joke] Then it rained when we were about to play the third part of the games [boohooohooo D:] but the tribal dance seemed to work miracles and we soon started our station games.
I had many "First time" today, like bathing or should I say shampooing and also being poured with cold water, defrosting socks[ewwww] and well being tricked by PSL's.
When the PSL started scolding and told us to reflect, i heard the voices getting smaller and then wham! Water bomb fight broke out! Even though they said it was a joke, i somehow had a hunch that they will sooner or later come and give us a lecture cause we did went overboard at times though but all in all PSL's ARE THE AWESOMEST :D Do U Think This Is A Joke? NOPE PSL ROCKS :P
-Okays i'm too tired to carry on so yeah goodnite fellow earthlings, vivian signing out :P
DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS IS A JOKE?!!?!? ...yes ahahaha :D
hahahahaha anyway heyy gais! :D i think we all know there's only one way to describe today! EPIC CRAZY FUN!!!!!!! (;
really really truthfully, i was half-tricked by the PSLs! :P i heard the plastic bags ruffling and their voices getting a little distant -ohnoooo i think they're gonna bomb us- but i thought we weren't supposed to get up haha! and i thought i was seeing wrongly when i saw zachary smile lol! but andris's scolding is really convincing haha :D but anyway THAT WAS THE BEST PART OF THE DAY SERIOUSLY HAHA I PITY ALL THE THIRD LANG PPL WHO WEREN'T THERE! >:) THANKYOUUUUU SO MUCH PSLS WE HAD SO MUCH FUN HAHA! :D and i managed to water bomb some people yay X)
it was a new experience, totally! i think for most of us! :) it sounds weird but i learnt that we should know how to have fun! xP like liven up haha! (: enjoy the things in life and have fun with our friends ;D and not be too serious all the time cause laughter is the best medicine yo! ^^ before it was mentioned i was wondering how today could've been used to teach us any value haha! but zest just about sums it up perfectly :D i haven't had so much fun in a looonnnggg time whew! LETS DO IT AGAINNNNN!! ^^
but anyway actually i think what the psls said during the fake scolding was not like entirely fake cause we should be more appreciative of them!! :D we love you psls!! :))
mmmm what else. basically all the wet games were damn fun! oh and the mass dances were quite fast paced but i know there was time constraint haha :P i believe with practice we'll be able to do it ohoho. jiayou ppl for tmr!! :) sleep more today haha! :D GOOOOO ONE TWO!!! <3

Kevin's wonderful reflections- Day 4
Yet another spectacular day flew past in a blink of an eye. I was thrilled yet nervous to participate in the wet games earlier today. I was sure we were going to have fun, but yes I had to get mentally prepared for the cold, wet torture ahead of us. I was destined to be the unlucky one, even in the first station I was wet by other on several occasions. That was still the case in all of the games. It was cold, and unbearably uncomfortable, but yet we had lots of fun. We bonded a heck more than any other day, and got to know each other well.
The lesson of the day was "zest". Indeed it was a fun day, however I felt that what I really picked up was to never trust your PSLs! They carried out such an enormous prank on the entire cohort. We got a tremendous scolding from our seniors who thought we were misbehaving. While we were sincerely reflecting on our mistakes with our heads down and heart low, a thousand water bombs flew at our faces painfully . I was confused and thought the PSLs flew into a rage. IT TURNED OUT TO BE JUST A PRANK. What a big prank that was. I will always watch my step in the VIP now.
In a flash, all 4 days we had have gone and we have only a day remaining before the end of IPO! I wish we could have orientation forever. It was so fun and exciting. I just hope tomorrow would not fly past just as quickly as the other days.

12012012: IPO DAY 4 REFLECTION
Time does fly when you are having fun.
I can still remember just a week ago i was thinking about school starting and getting all hyped up for the IPO and now there is just one day left to the end of IPO but the start to a great new school beginning! :)
I like today the best. It was the most memorable day so far and the most meaningful. We learnt alot of stuff today and the biggest takeaway was ZEST. I found that the wet games were the awesomemest and that everyone just let themselves lose and had a great time. What the PSLs said really made us reflect about ourselves over the past few days. I agree that we did lack enthusiasm sometimes and i think we all are gonna try better to make IPO a success and to make our PSLs proud. I felt that the suck ups were actually a good idea. They helped us bond better as a class and prevent the awkwardness between the girls and guys HAHA. I am very thankful that we have such awesome seniors to plan the IPO for us because our school life will never be the same without it and it was by far the BEST ORIENTATION EVER!!! <3 So the least we can do is to RESPECT them and do our reflections which i do everyday because i am so GUAI:) Hahahahahahahahahahah
WELL, THANK YOU SENIORS FOR ALL YOUR HELP AND FOR STAYING IN SCHOOL SO LATE JUST FOR US:) THANK YOU WE <3 YOU!

See ya tomorrow everyone

Hello peeps!!!
Well firstly, I would like to thank ALL the PSLs!!! I totally understand how they feel cause back in AHS when Council organised this, the juniors were so rude and they were not cooperative. But at least we are fun people!!! And from the bottom of our hearts, we really appreciate what u have done for us PSLs! So thank you guys so much!
I have always loved water games so much! Honestly, I heard the water bombs when they were scolding us so yeah! And a bomb hit me and my specs flew... But I'm glad that we had like so much fun today! The mass dance was challenging but I hope that tomorrow 12v12 will win the competition!!! The station games were definitely more challenging as compared to dry games cause it was so slippery. Peixuan's station was not easy to complete. @ Dhiraj station when I started doing the clapping thing to guide Frances, then everybody started copying me! But all in all, today was fun!
Tomorrow will be having SENIOR & JUNIOR INTERACTION!!! It'll be amazing and I hope that we will have dinner together with the PSLs 1 day! (Sry 11v12 seniors :) Hope that everyone had lots of fun this 4 days and I'm sad that it'll all end tomorrow... :(
Bye and don't take this as a joke JOKER!!! (Jolene)

Day 4 IPO Reflection
Wow...that was a awesome entry by EnYi, well written and I couldn't agree more! Who could have thought that time flies this fast. One moment we were just beginning to adapt to the new environment of this institution, and next its the second last day of IPO already. I guess that's what happens while we are enjoying ourselves!! Anyway, here's my day 4 reflection (of which I must give some credits to EnYi for inspiring certain insights).
Many people will say how water is essential for our survival; without it, homo sapiens would not existed at all in the first place. However, while that might be true, today's IPO activities gave us a new insight we have on the clear shapeless liquid called water.
In something named as the mass water games, we VIPers were required to complete numerous tasks regarding water, including transporting 'water bombs' from one place to another by pelting it such that it does not 'detonate', 'hauling' 'them' from bucket to bucket (by means of accumulating them in our mouths and spitting them out again, as well as storage of 'them' on our clothes) and attempting to erase any trace of soap from our opponent's hair by pouring water onto them. It does sound fun; yes, but in truth, some find it quite traumatic too. We had to move ourselves (that is, in forces) on a single canvas sheet (uphill against a slope filled with soap and water), while withstanding the cold 'they' brought to our bodies by our 'lovely' PSLs who decide engulfing us with this precious source of life would help things. Regarding our PSLs though, is something both humorous and worthy of thought.
As we completed the tasks at hand and got ready for debriefing, our seniors were very infuriated at us not being cooperative that thus ended in us being late. They elaborated on disrespectful and unappreciative we were (at not paying attention while they were talking/explaining and at instantly throwing the countless 'water bombs' at each other that they spend hours making respectively). The humorous part was that at the moment they were sure that all of us were craning our heads towards the floor and reflecting, the genuine-looking angry people suddenly had a change of mood and started tossing their astutely made products at us. At first, I thought that they were taking a sort of revenge at us, so I remained in that position and accepted my soaking. It was when I heard a school-mate shouted for us to throw back the 'bombs' that I realized it was just a one whole big joke. (Ironically, many PSLs were hollering at us on how we treat IPO as a big joke.) Despite slowly but eventually registering how the 15-16 years olds were merely pretending to be incensed at our behaviour though, I sincerely felt guilty for wasting our poor seniors' effort who spend only a few hours sleeping, just to ensure we had fun during this week.

Fellow classmates, friends, and school-mates, lets us give our beloved PSLs our full cooperation tomorrow, so that not only can we, but also the PSLs have a fun and enriching time tomorrow. With our combined effort, I am sure we can make tomorrow the best IPO session ever!!!
~Cheers,
Shawn
PS: I promise you readers I will do a better job yesterday, didn't I; I hope I did fulfill that.

IPO2012 Reflections: day FOUR
SUP GUYS.
today was the most RIDICULOUS DAY EVER. it was like bathing alternately. being sprayed by water bombs randomly and being powdered and soaped. I can't believe the PSLs did that to us D: i feel so CHEATED. :(
HAHAHA. Washing my hair in the basketball court.... once in a life time experience. hahahah. but nonetheless, even if the waterbombs were to torture us. hahahah, the PSLs did sacrifice a lot in tying up all those "water balloons" which arent even balloons. HAHAH :) it's sad how we didn't get to play the last game in the field though. AND IT IS EXTREMELY SADDENING THAT WE DON"T GET TO DO THIS TO OUR JUNIORS COS WE WON'T HAVE ANY. :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( WHYY! but oh wells. being the last cohort has it's many advantages too. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
tomorrow is SENIOR JUNIOR DINNER! WHEE! it'll be awesomez! :)
but i wanted to have dinner with the PSLs too :( maybe next time :) haha :D
and we finally completed learning all the mass dances! :D WHEEHEE! ahahahh
ok. so yes. I WILL GO AND REFLECT NOW.
byebye! :)
if only exams were a JOKE. HAHAH

Day three of IPO!!
The friendship dance was super weird especially when we have to do it with the opposite gender. ._. but I guess it bonded us more (: First station of amazing race :ECP. We walked there!! YAY!! I can't walk or run well. So yay for me cause I successfully completed the whole of amazing race. As usual we had to suck up for points. It was fun!! Next memorable station was the one where we had to spin around the basketball. Although we were dizzy, we persevered and completed the challenge!! Hurray for V12!! :D Ohh!! And I finally ate wanton mee at I12 Katong!! <3 thank you Peixuan for carrying the shoebag cause it's really heavy and she was actually running with us!!
Day four of IPO!!
All I can say was that it was really unexpected. The seniors suceeded cause i thought it was actually real. Most memorable station game was the shampoo game. Heehee!! I wasn't very foamy but I started foaming soon after thanks to the foam from Shannon and germaine :D Ohh!! The suck up was fun too!! We had to coax an imaginary cat under the car and we were so awesome that this guy asked us what's under the car.:D

IPO Reflections - Day 4 (Cat Woman - Zest)
Woo! Today was a blast :D I really enjoyed the water games and I feel that they were very well planned out. It's also a nice feeling when you know that your seniors sacrificed their sleep and energy to ensure that the day was as enjoyable as possible. Thank you seniors! :) Water was a very great tool to teach us the value of zest, because even though we were lethargic and unenthusiastic in the morning, the moment we started to get hit by water bombs everything started going uphill, so that was good thinking by our seniors ^^
We also learnt the last two mass dances: La Bamba and I want you. Although I want you was, in my opinion, the hardest dance to learn because of all the fancy moves, I also feel that it was the most enjoyable to learn and perform :)
Lastly, when the day came to a close, I sincerely thought that we let our PSLs down and that they were genuinely angry at us, only to get hit in the face by a hundred water bombs! >.< All things said, I think that alot of the points that our PSLs brought up were actually really relevant and that we should try to work on our behaviour. Last day of IPO tomorrow!! :( Hopefully it will be as/more exciting :D

My Day3 Reflection!
Sigh, tired shit! Damn, I'm doing it again, gonna type my reflections on the MRT again (; I should stop doing this stuff, bet I'm gonna give myself a headache!
Okayys, I shall start talking about day3! Hmmm, yesterday was really fun, cause our force got closer with each day! Oh, and we had this mass dance that was super awkward, but thanks to Kevin, it became like super funny! (: special shout out to Shawn, just in case I stepped on his leg too many times! HAHAHA hmm, the amazing race was super fun! It tested the knowledge of everyone of us and brought our force even closer ;) the funniest part was yebin's station, cause we had so much fun acting out the sentence! Yeah, go force 2C! And I also learnt to turn my head when someone calls me Hilary ! HEHE, oh and how to comfort a bottle (: [tip: if it's anything reflective, just look at yourself in the reflection and compliment yourself! Totally works! ]
Now for a special thanks to all the force masters that led force 2C in the past 3 days,
Three cheers and three cheers and three cheers for Eri, Jyh Hean and Pei Xuan! <3
Okayys, I'm reaching bedok already!
Till later tonight,
Love, Germaine!

IPO Day 3
IPO Day 3 was fun as expected! I feel that at the start of the day when we had to do the friendship dance, I found it plain awkward due to the gender difference.
Despite it raining at the start, we still managed to complete the station games and have fun at the same time. At the various stations it was really enjoyable and funny to suck up to the seniors in front of the public although it was quite embarrassing. However I did let my team down at the second last station and I apologise for that.
Overall the Amazing Race was a really great experience for me and I hope tomorrow would be just as awesome.

IPO DAY 3
Hey Batmans! :)
Today was a really eventful day!
We had the Amazing Race which made me realise how important teamwork is. :)
1. After the downpour, my force (2b) participated in a stagger game and the game master (Vincent) requested a pair consisting of both genders to execute an intimate version of the mashed potato and I got prepared to be embraced by awkward silence. However, Reuben and Vivian willingly volunteered themselves to do it! :D They put aside all worries and concerns and rose up to the challenge for the greater good of the class!
2. The station at parkway parade required us to sing a song in public and my force sang the chorus of Baby. My singing is utterly horrible and it sounds like a shrieking chicken so I was worried that my voice would ruin the whole show. However as we started singing I realised that together as one, we sounded really good and loud! I was really impressed with what teamwork could do! Oh and singing Baby was fun hahahahhahhah
And I was reaalllllly amazed with how organized the PSLs were as they made some changes to the original plan but yet the fun wasn't compromised! Thank you PSLs for doing so much for us!
And recently there's a post on our V12's class wall which I really liked and found it so touching because it truly reflects upon the "one for all, all for one" spirit.:)
GUESSWHOIAMILOVEZEBRAS! :DDDD

IPO Day 3
~Kai Zhi, 12v12
I shall not talk about my morning as it is irrelevant though awesome, like any other part of my life! :D
Moving on to the cheers, I was part shocked and part excited, the former was because I haven't even memorized the first 2 dances, and then now we are learning 2 more, which I would probably fail at all the same. And excited cos, yea we can forget about the last 2 and learn 2 more haha! XD
Neutron dance was do-able and awesome! Friendship dance on the other hand, was not so much on friendship. And even Angie Ong emphasised the fact that it was supposed to be 'friendship'. Seriously? Friends 'shake them up', 'broke their hearts', twirl around each other, do mash potatoes and chee cheong funs? I would like to rename it to 'Friends with benefits' dance! Credits: Bharat from 12v11! :D. Lastly, its frigging hard, I cant remember ANYTHING! =.=''! though it was, ironically, fun all the same!
Amazing race was the best! Although I broke my legs running around I felt that it was very team bonding! It challenged us to think and do dignity-crushing things in public like singing loudly and doing 'Friends with benefits' dance moves (AHEM! AHEM! ERI! AHEM!)
All in all, 12v12 FOR THE WIN! 3rd, 4th and 5th!!! NICE ONE GUYS! :D REALLY FUN AND TIRING BUT WE'VE LEARNT ALOT!!! :D! 3RD DAY DONE!
Lastly, thanks to Jeslyn who painted herself green and ran repeatedly in the rain, selflessly not taking any umbrellas for herself. Also to Sean our AWESOME FORCE MASTA, who ran along with us throughout the whole race and encouraged us! Also, ALL PSLs, who stayed up till like what? 12? to pack water bombs for the 4th day, and energized themselves to energize us! Thanks guys really appreciate it! :D The whole cohort should know about this! *salute*

Reflections for 3rd day of IPO
Today was definitely a tiring day, all because of the Amazing Race. I really liked going out of the school to complete the station games in public. Although it was quite embarrassing, its quite interesting to know that everyone is looking at you while we were doing our stuff. The rain today was certainly troublesome and caused mass disruptions to the station games at ECP, but on the bright side the rain helped us move up a lot of positions to become the first few teams at the end of the game. Initially, we were the last few teams that set out for the station games because of the first stagger game that was quite frustrating after seeing our tower tumble when we were only one cup away from completing the game. In the end, we ended up in 3rd, 4th and 5th position, all thanks to the rain. WHOO, RAIN DANCE!!! Anyway, the race was definitely most amazing but very exhausting as we were pressured by the idea of forces from the other classes catching up with us so we had to constantly run from one station to another. Overall the experience from the race was very rich and diverse. Shopping mall race experience was the best as there was air-con and racing in the shopping mall is not what other races would include, only Amazing Race. The race that me that we had to exercise more awareness, especially in public areas. We have to be very careful with our actions in public as wrong ones may require us to bear the consequences. As for tomorrow, WET station games doesn't sound so fun when it is wet. Why can't we just stick to the dry station games, I believe they are much more fun than wet station games. Anyway, what's the worst that could happen, its only wet., but I may be just wrong.

IPO Reflections -- Day Three ~
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE MASS DANCE :D YAY.
Today was super fun cuz we got to get out of school >:) HAHA JUST KIDDING XD But mainly because it the Amazing Race did not only put our time management to the test, but also our teamwork and our coordination with other individuals. I must admit that the rain did dampen our spirits a little, but we pulled through and did very well nevertheless so..YAY US :) Today's suck-ups were definitely more challenging and DIFFERENT ;) And Jeslyn was super nice to us(you've got to admit that)...and she was a really cute green goblin to dance around while singing 'You Are My Sunshine' to XD
All in all, I feel quite sad and ECSTATIC at the same time now... :( AFTER ALL, IPO IS GONNA COME TO AN END SOON... *awwww* BUT ITS REALLY A LOT OF FUN RUNNING AROUND WHILE DOING STUPID THINGS ALONG THE WAY AND TRYING TO CONSTANTLY BEAT THE CLOCK XD
And I think we all really appreciate the effort, time and dedication the PSLs have put into this once-in-a-lifetime event to make it a memorable one for us. THANK YOU GUYS <3 WE LOVE YOUUUU~
Sleep well everyone! Night night!

Day 3 IPO Reflection
Alright.. now for the third reflection in one day. Really exhausted now... Anyways, lets get on with this. Here is my day 3 reflection:
Today was a whole new experience to me. It can be in short concluded in one word: awesome (as always). The entire cohort were asked to enact a dance called so innocently as the friendship dance with a person from the other gender. It was really awkward, and I am sure i am speaking for all of my peers. It was something new though, and more importantly, it gives me confidence as to how to communicate efficaciously with others in the society.
The later part of the day will be occupied by something called the Amazing Race, as all of you peers of mine should know. However, luck was not on our side, for the sky began to rain heavily on our poor heads. Fortunately, our PSLs had a backup plan and we managed to moved on anyways, and for that I thanked them sincerely. After a while thoug, the rain began to weaken and the usual plan resumes. It was not to be my lucky day though, as I blundered in one of the challenge, wasting much precious time for my force and we end up fifth instead of third. To be honest, I was feeling really depressed from then on for letting my force. Thankfully, these dear friends of mine forgave me and it really made my day. In addition, I now realized why I loved this school so much.
In short, I had many ups and downs today, but it was overall a wondrous experience. I have definitely learn about awareness and will do my best in eliminating my ''gender barrier gape''.
~Love,
Shawn
PS: sorry this was a crappy sloppy work. I am really tired already. Promise I will do a better one tomorrow.

REFLECTIONS FOR DAY ONE TO THREE! :D
yoooooooo awesomez! :D
i know i'm like the last oops :P Anyway okay PREPARE TO GET SPAMMED BY ME AS I WRITE NOT ONE NOT TWO BUT THREE REFLECTIONS IN ONE POST! >:D
okayokay so.
Day Oneee
I learnt alot about teamwork (sorry i know it's so cliche haha) and got to know y'all better!! and i learnt that 12 is the best ahaha! x) anyway. i learnt about trusting/depending on one another and i decided to be more daring! no more sian-and-lazy-to-cheer dunmanian :) i've never cheered so much in my life and my throat is starting to hurt yikes X:
and ummm. i learnt that you people (HI PSLS IF Y'ALL ARE READING THIS :B) really know how to have fun hahaha! THANKS ERI YOU WERE A GREAT FORCE MASTER! giving us ideas for suckups haha! ^^
Day Two!
super tiring! -dies- @__@ but it was super fun haha :D i learnt that sometimes we need to make sacrifices for "the greater good" of everyone! i sound so philosophical aha.
for example the catching game where my force decided that we the non-catchers will go be prey/distractors haha ;P OHOH and YIXIN HUGGING DHIRAJ FOR SUCKUP POINTS! (Y) gooo yixin! thanks for the sacrifice! xP
and also like when we know we can't do smth better than others, then we just take on a smaller role/take a back seat :D ooh i'm actually making sense. and yup the part about respecting others, e.g. plane making. we just trusted that everything would work out great (AND IT DID YEAAHHHH GOOO 12!...'s plane!) and not question others too much on the choice of materials.
oh and. THANKS JYH HEAN YOU ROCK TOO!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR TAKING THAT PLATE OF SHAVING CREAM IN THE FACE! :D another sacrifice! :D see 12 guys y'all so not man hahahaha scared of a little shaving cream. xP
DAY THREE (hang in there if you're actually reading this)
...finally a reflection that's on time. :P anyway. mass dance was awwkkkwaaardd!!! -awkward turtle!- but i think if everyone pushed our awkwardness away then no one would feel awkward and it'll actually be quite fun. or funny if you're looking in kevin's direction as he's dancing. hahahhaha. thanks for taking away some of the awkwardness kevin! (because we're too busy laughing x)
oh and today's amazing race was greattttt!! super tiring but totally worth it! :) PEOPLE GET WELL SOON K TODAY GO PUT MEDICATED OIL ON YOUR LEGS HAHAHAHA if not tmr we'll all be like old folks *dancing although in pain* OUCHHHH hahha :) GWSSSS! and i realised we're like so much more bonded now as compared to day 1 yay :D and the awareness part -- i didn't really realise that but after they mentioned it, yeah today really taught us to look out for one another (: even the rain haha! and we amused ourselves too so it was really fun/funny/not that mentally tiring. (reuben: -opens umbrealla flicking water onto dhiraj- oh sorry i was drying my umbrella.)

IPO Day #03
Today's amazing race was just.... AMAZING :) hahaha
We ran and ran and ran and ran and ran and... well you get it, we ran like some lunatics [hahaha]. The MOST EPIC thing [just like the epic superheroes] is that we were the last to leave and we caught up with everyone and even got 3rd placing [did we or not cause dats what peixuan says, anyways we were fast, WITH Dhiraj :D]. When we saw sean's group i was like "YES we caught up" and when we saw peixuan's group just behind i suddenly felt that we [as 12v12] will win this race :P.
The hardest station was yuri's station the spinning round the ball. I felt like 'urgh, the world is spinning like crazy' but well the whole force did it :D [three cheers and three cheers and three cheers for 12 :P]
All in all the whole experience was very fun, no EXTREMELY FUN:D and everyone was awesome except for Dhiraj [just joking, haha] and 12 ROCKS [YAY!!!!!]
It was a short one cause i'm really, really tired so yeah goodnite :P

IPO Day 3
Hi peeps!
Today was definitely the best day ever so far! Cause everyone has broken the barrier between each other and participated more although there's more to be done! I love the part where 2 of the forces were eating lunch together! Because it was like a planned lunch together as a class (so sad the Dhiraj force didn't join us)... I'm glad that none of us ordered pepper lunch (We're smart man!)
The starting part where everyone was stuck @ ECP was fun cause Dhiraj was singing in the rain! Although everyone was soaked, at least our class had enough umbrellas whereas other class people were so wet that even their shoes and socks were wet! Although we were the last class to leave but... WE GOT 3RD, 4TH & 5TH WHOOHOO!!!
Today's mass dance was also a GREAT CHALLENGE cause we were forced to dance with another girl from another class :( But the Neutron dance was fun! So far Tribal dance is still the best!
So sad that there's 2 days left. Hope that u guys can shout more and don't be shy! Really looking forward to tomorrow cause we have WET games and more dances! (last 2 dances) Have lots of sleep today!!!
Goodnite and sleep well!

Kevin's wonderful reflections- Day 3
Day 3 of IPO was crazy! It was fun, intense, and most of all, tiring. It seems like every day of orientation would get even more intense and tiring! In the beginning I thought that the objective of the day was to promote bonding among different genders, since our games mostly involved to people of opposite sexes. But, it seems that the PSLs were just trying to be funny and the objective was to promote awareness among each other. I really did enjoy the thrilling amazing race, even though it started to rain.
I sure hope tomorrow would get even better! In fact, I know it will. I just hope I get recharged by tomorrow so I can have much more fun!

Reflection for IPO Day 3
Walao eh...must write again...(BTW: walao is NOT a vulgarity..many people say so but NO it isn't...I am Hokkien I KNOW) Okay...today was the most hyper one of ALL...we were like switches...(you will get what I mean)
Like during the teaching of mass dances, although we just learnt it, but everyone were CRAZY UH HUH UH HUH...Yeah, we were REALLY hyper... after that, suddenly, TRIBAL DANCE TRIBAL DANCE..then, it followed with..YOU BROKE MY BRAND NEW CHEVROLET...and lastly...OUTER INNER OUTER KICK! Yeah, it was really hyper that time...the atmosphere was awesome...Yeah, that's right... (Oh my gosh, I am starting to sound like Eri and Yuri...and I am really BAD in mass dance..:( Don't have the talent, I should follow Dhiraj and just stand there, stoning -.-)
Now for the switches..this is a short story but it's full of content...(that sounded like the motto "On your own but not alone = contradiction) Okay, it was at Vincent's stagger game...and we had suck up so he wanted us to have 2 volunteers to "mash potato" with a piece of bread in the middle...GET THE IDEA? But it was taken out after a while and Vincent said we will do it as close as possible. So I looked at my partner, Vivian (okay, I just revealed the volunteers..we were very hyper so it was quick), then, I said, "ON AH?" "ON!" Vivian replied. Then, it started. OK, you guys get the idea so no need to explain. Simply said, we succeeded.
That's it...Nothing else to say...Brain cells died due to fatigue, fatigue and fatigue...so yup! I am done for today...Next time! (2 MORE DAYS!) BYEE!

Day 2 IPO Reflection
Sigh.... publishing posts are tiring, and this is just the second today... Well, I guess its my fault not wanting to upload entries until today. Anyway, for both your sake and mine, I will keep this short, sweet and definitely less 'chim'.
Day Two's theme is about respect- trusting each other and to be open to other's opinion. Somewhat similar to yesterday, the games and 'sulking up' (which I am getting used to) were meant to emphasize this essential (I resist the usage of words like imperative and consequential) trait needed for a bonded class. More personalities are of course shown that day previously unknown to the class before and I definitely felt more and more confident that my time here will be an enjoyable one. Differences or not, the class has shown today (actually its yesterday) that we are able to tolerate the beliefs and characteristics of one another, no matter it contradicts those of ours, through great and effective communication.
The Indian scholars were not as bad as I think as well. They might have certain differentiation in culture and accent, but overall, they are really fun and caring people once you get to know them well. To make things even better, today was surprisingly not as tiring as yesterday, despite the inclusion of the mass dance activity where I made new friends and had a lot of fun.
See, short and sweet, right?

Shawn

IPO Reflections - Day 3 (Green Goblin - Awareness)
Oh no! already 3 days of IPO have passed. I'm starting to feel sad :( However, today was really great! the amazing race was well planned and very enjoyable :) Sucking up was even more awkward since we were doing it in front of the public (Eri's station @.@) but somehow I didn't feel too weird about it, since we did it as a class and with enthusiasm :D (I pity Raj though. 3 times! :O) Also, I loved the way the PSLs set up the race mechanics like the stagger games and the fact that you lose points for not finishing a station. It really teaches you to manage your time well.
Mass dance. What can I say? I liked the Neutron dance but selecting partners for the Friendship dance was ...interesting. Once we got our partners it was OK but it still felt a little awkward. When we did it for points though, it was a different experience all together and we all partnered without a hitch.
Really looking forward to tomorrow! Wet games should be interesting :D

Day 1 IPO Reflection
Suffice to say that it is rather late for a day 1 reflection, I have finally decided to step out of my couch and desist from reading the trilogy of Hunger Games transiently just for this eminent occasion-to write IPO reflections. Anyway without further boring my readers with my bombastic usage of words, here is my day 1 reflection.
At first, I didn't what to expect, I mean, people from different schools, meeting for perhaps the first time? And whats more, I am the sole student from Catholic High to enter this prestigious institution this year. How am I going blend in?
Fortuitously, I did went out with some of my classmates before the holidays end. Certainly, that's just part of the class. Who would have thought we will have a nation in this class, or 'scandalous' people for that matter. The array of personality displayed by the class on the first day of school was so vivid, so diverse that in truth, even a yellow, square, debonair(e) sponge couldn't handle it- the shy and introvert nature of most girls (even guys too), the nerdy nature of some and sporty figure of others. Tall, short, big, small, really, the adjectives are endless. And of course, who could ever forget the PSLs, 15-16 year olds trying to render our day as entertaining and enriching at the same time. Indeed it was to be an enriching day, the theme for the day, 'camaraderie' among classmates was emphasized countless times by the activities offered on that day. Be it the games, or the infamous 'sulking(?) up', where students has to go along with humiliating acts just to gain points for the class, the results were eminent. Comparing the class in morning with that at the end of the day, I will say that today's objective of teamwork and rapport within the class has been successful. The way class bonds like gel together, it was a really warm sensation.
I may be fatigue when I got home, but now I know clearly that my choice of transferring, despite the lacerations, was the right one

IPO Day 2
I had a really great time during IPO Day 2. The cheers we learnt at the beginning were easy because I had already learnt them back at VS. The station games served its purpose and I learnt respect, teamwork and had a lot of fun.
Initially when I saw the seniors perform a demo for the mass dance, I thought it was quite difficult. However after going through the seniors went through the moves with us, it became easier for me to follow.
Overall, I felt that Day 2 was really interesting and I hope that tomorrow will be even better.

Reflections for 2nd day of IPO
Today was definitely much more fun than yesterday. It was so tiring to do the suck-ups yesterday, but today the PSLs made it much easier for us by probably lowering their expectations. I felt that the class bonded together more closely than yesterday and the forces seemed to be working very well with each other. Speaking about forces, we competed against our own class during station games and it was a win-win situation for both forces of the same class! Even if we lose, the points will still contribute to the class points at the end of the day, so no pressure at all! Dhiraj, the villain was especially humorous by showing his crazy antics and whatnot. Moving on to the station games, today's games were more exciting and less challenging (not like the crazy cyclops lasers), but the station games on both days had the same objectives: teamwork, respect, perseverance and other values. The station games were meant to teach us something valuable in our IPO journey such as gaining experience for teamwork. The next was mass dance. It was really fun but some of the dance moves are a little too complicated to master within a session of mass dance. Probably tomorrow will get us more used to the idea of mass dance. Building a plane was a challenging task which required a lot of good communication and teamwork, like tremendous amount of teamwork. We have to first come up with a strategy of having half the class to build the plane and the other half will have to suck-up to the Game Master, Sean, as we were given limited amount of materials. We made the plane on time but the question was whether it could fly long enough to earn us the coveted points. Looking at the planes that other teams made, we stand a pretty good chance of winning. So today's activities made us learn about the importance of respect. Even though there were 20 people with totally different ideas and mindset from one another, we have to respect their decision and put ourselves in another person's perspective and you might just realise that you were wrong after all! I believe that tomorrow will be an exciting day with a break from station games with the new introduction of the new game: Amazing race. Sounds energy consuming but I'm looking forward to play the game out of the school's boundaries

IPO Reflections -- Day Two!
Today was definitely more...FUN-FILLED :D
Despite the fact I missed out on a few stations cause of my knee injury, I enjoyed myself a lot! Even as I was in the room resting my leg, Jolene totally entertained me HAHAHA OMG DAMN FUNNY(with her stupid magic trick and all XD ) .
In all, I feel that our class has definitely bonded and we aren't really talking only to people of the same gender! ;D WE CAN DO BETTER >:)
Anyways, MASS DANCE IS SO MUCH FUNNNN!!!!
So, in conclusion, today, I've learnt that we have to accept that we're all different and unique individuals that have different opinions towards different matters and that we must respect each other if we want to work well together. Certain circumstances might make us do things on our own, individually, but we'll always know that we have each other and no matter what happens, our friends will be there to help us ~

IPO Day #02
One word to describe ..... TIRED SIA, but yet very FUN :)
Early in the morning, at 7 plus 8, we started Station Games [i haven wake up yet, too tired to be hyper]. 1st proposal of the day was done by Reuben [unexpectedly, he failed] then En Yi did another one [that was good enough to max up :) ] which was wonderful :) [3 cheers for En Yi !]
The most memorable ones were Sean's station [YAY!] the A-Z thing, it really made us like concentrate and tested our team spirit and we almost broke the record [14secs liddat we were at letter "V" or something liddat then we failed] but good job guys:)
The tag game was also fun :) [raj really ran like, wow so fast *jealous* haha]. Before I forget, the flipping of canvas was another tiring one. We carried each other on our backs and both our force displayed EXCELLENT teamwork and respect for one another [YAY 12:)]
My takeaway of the day : It is good to go against your own class force :P the basketball thing proved of our teamwork as a class and sportsmanship [it was supposed to be 3 teams but well, 2B and 2C teamed up against the other force :) ]
- it's late now, this is vivian, signing out :P PEACE

- it's late now, this is vivian, signing out :P PEACE

2nd Day IPO
Hey peeps!!!
Today was A.W.E.S.O.M.E!!! I definitely preferred today to yesterday because i luv the MASS DANCE! At the same time, we could bond more with the people in our force. So yeah and about the station games, it was a bit weird to be competing against our own class. But anyways (get ready...) WE WON STATION GAMES TODAY!!! WHOOHOO GOOD JOB PEOPLE!
Mass dance was the best! I love the moves like jagger i love the moves like jagger i love the m-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-oves ike jagger!!! The whiney dance was alright (ok!) EXCEPT for the KILLER MOVE :( The killer move was not easy at all. The tribal dance was great cause there's shuffling (well not really shuffling) and the tribal shake was so embarrassing ^_^
Overall, today was PURE A.W.E.S.O.M.E.N.E.S.S And thank you PSLs who planned this, we really had fun! Especially Jeslyn, our FORCE MASTA, and the rest of the FORCE, good job.Tmr is going to be better and great job today peeps! AMAZING RACE has always been a challenge and we are ready to accept the challenge to defeat Jeslyn (GREEN GOBLIN)
Note to self: PSLs spammed my whatspp over dinner and jyh hean was hacked again... :D Thanks seniors for the GREAT CONVERSATION!

IPO DAY 2
Hi guys! This is going to be short post because I just woke up from a nap and am still in a daze. And I'm feeling grumpy. xD
Okay so anyway today we bonded again with station games which were really interesting. Oh and after two days I'm starting to get used to the idea of stepping out of your comfort zone and doing really weird stuff just to earn suckup points :D
And mass dancing was fun but kinda tiring. I love the Egyptian walk part! It was really fun! Plus it's probably the only step that I am confident of executing.
And now I can safely say that I know all of our classmates' names. :D
And I secretly wonder where we'll be brought to tomorrow... :O
TOODLES!

2nd day IPO by jung sol
today was another wonderful day with station games and mass dance. Frankly, i prefer today to yesterday because i feel that the games we played today were less tiring than those we played yesterday. however, at the same time, we could bond with the people in our force.
the game that is most memorable to me is the station where we had to shout out the Alphabets without crashing with anyone. the game required us to concentrate fully to our surrounding.
mass dance was also enjoyable as the PSLs did their best to ensure that we got all the steps correct and was not lost at any point in time. Of course some moves were 'killer' despite their help but i guess i have to practice to make it okay!
